Founders’ Day

Founders’ Day is a collaborative event put on by Ohio Staters, Inc. and University Archives, hosted on September 17, 2015 in University Museum. This celebrated the founding of Ohio State, and commemorated the first week of classes ever held. Members of the Ohio State community enjoyed light refreshments and learned more about the tradition of Founders’ Day and why it is important to the history of our University. Additionally, 2015 marked the 50th anniversary of Brutus Buckeye. Therefore, the event also educated students about the history of Ohio State’s Mascot and his importance to the university.
